Religious School - Kindergarten through 12th Grade

The Forest Hills Jewish Center Religious School, formally recognized by the United Synagogue of conservative Judaism as a Framework of Excellence School, is a vibrant community where Judaism is lived and learned by our students and their families. We provide students with the skills needed to function as responsible and knowledgeable Conservative Jews both at home and in the synagogue.

Students archive Hebrew reading competency which allows them access to both the siddur and Hebrew as a modern language. Students and their families have the opportunity to participate in Junior Congregation, holiday celebrations, and family learning. Jewish music and art are also an important part of our program. We are participants in the Re-Imagine Program.

The Religious School also offers Ivrit B'Ivrit - Learning Hebrew in Hebrew. These classes are for Israeli children attending the Kindergarten through 3rd grade. More Information.

The Religious School is associated with the Jewish Theological Seminary Prozdor Program. Our high school students have the opportunity to learn with students throughout Queens and to benefit from both our own and JTS's resources.

School meets on Sundays, and Tuesdays; hours and times are determined by class and age.
