Numerous people have been asking me about the Cantors Assembly trip to Spain that we began talking about 2 years ago. Planning is well under way for this third (and final) mission. Most likely, this event will be held at the beginning of July 2016 and run approximately eleven (11) days. Ayelet and Masorti Olami are working on the itinerary. We will begin in Barcelona for three (3) days, including Shabbat, then travel down to Sevilla/Cordoba to visit the Rambam Synagogue, and on to Alhambra, Grenada, Madrid and Toledo. Hotels will range from the very “ritzy” to the more affordable. Pricing should be available soon, along with promotional materials and a preliminary itinerary. Concerts will feature various styles of music. The Cantors Assembly planners are working on securing a scholar or scholars to accompany us throughout the mission. Meals for Shabbat in Barcelona and Madrid will be under Rabbinic supervision. Like our other Cantors Assembly missions to Poland and Germany, this trip will be inspirational – an opportunity to teach and educate the Jews of Spain. If you are at interested in joining me, Susan and congregational members from FHJC and all over the US, send me an email so we an add you to our growing list.
